At the end of 2021, the Pew Research Center published the results of its research on how humanity finds meaning in life. The survey was conducted in 17 countries across 17 categories. The general results can be found on the website of the Center itself. Below are the indicators of the "leaders" of the categories.

The main meaning of life is found in:

Family - Australians (56%), New Zealanders (55%), Greeks (54%),

Work - Italians (43%), Spanish (40%), Swedes (37%),

Material well-being - Spanish (42%), Dutch (33%), Italians (29%),

Friends - Australians (26%), Dutch (25%), New Zealanders (25%),

Health - Spanish (48%), Dutch (31%), Germans (22%),

Patriotism - Taiwanese (38%), Singaporeans (23%), Spanish (20%),

Freedom - Dutch (20%), Belgians (15%), New Zealanders (15%),

Hobbies - British (22%), Swedes (20%), Australians (18%),

Education - Australians (8%), Swedes (8%), New Zealanders (8%),

Faith - Americans (15%), New Zealanders (5%), Australians (4%).
