US President Donald Trump has announced the creation of Stargate, a company that will invest $500 billion in the development of artificial intelligence technologies and infrastructure over the next few years.
The announcement was made during a briefing at the White House, which was attended by the heads of technology companies that will participate in the project - Larry Ellison from Oracle, Sam Altman from OpenAI, and the head of the Japanese holding SoftBank Masayoshi Son.
At the first stage, they will jointly invest $100 billion in the new company. Trump called Stargate the largest AI project in history, which demonstrates the enormous potential of America. According to him, the project will create at least 100 thousand jobs, and data centers will also be built across the country. The authorities have already begun to study potential sites for them.
It is reported that the first data center is already under construction in Texas.
