20.04. Christians of all denominations today celebrate the main holiday of the church year – the Resurrection of Christ or Easter. This is a rather rare case when the entire Christian world celebrates Easter on one day.
20.04. Volodymyr Zelensky called on Russia to observe the ceasefire and confirmed Kyiv's proposal to extend it for 30 days after Easter. Prior to this, Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday, April 19, ordered an "Easter ceasefire" to be declared and all military actions in Ukraine by the Russian Federation to be suspended from 18:00 on April 19 until 00:00 on April 21.

20.04. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the return of 277 Ukrainians from Russian captivity. The Russian Defense Ministry reported that they were exchanged for 261 Russian servicemen.
