April 30, 2015 will start the meeting of the round table "Intellectuals and social consensus: challenges of the Ukrainian present"

April 30, 2015 (Thursday) at 11.00 will start the meeting of the round table: "Intellectuals and social consensus: challenges of the Ukrainian present".

Purpose of the round table – is to unite creative efforts of Ukrainian intellectuals from various fields in order to produce conceptual solutions to challenges, faced by society. Already now it is necessary to create an algorithm of development of civil society after the end of armed conflict in Donbass and restoration of territorial integrity of Ukraine.

Issues to be discussed:
- How to overcome regional disintegration of intellectual environments
- Ideology, propaganda vs public consensus
- Ukrainian intellectuals and challenges
- Consolidation for the sake of the future: Ukraine after the war
- Mutual relationship between intellectuals and politics
- Degree of responsibility of intellectuals for the situation in the country and in the world.

The round table will be attended by:
Miroslav Marynovych - Vice-Rector of the Ukrainian Catholic University, President of the Institute of Religion and Society of UCU
Taras Voznyak - Ukrainian culturologist, political analyst, editor in chief and founder of the independent culturological magazine "Ї"
Alexander Belokobylsky – Director of Kiev branch of the Ukrainian Institute of strategies of global development and adaptation, Doctor of Philosophy Alexander Belokobylsky.
Jaroslav Gritsak - Director of the Institute of Historical Research
Maria Zubritskaya - Vice-Rector of the Lviv National University named after Ivan Franko
Oles Starovoit - historian, member (deputy) of the Lviv Regional Council.
Also the discussion will be attended by sociologists, politologists, journalists, experts and scholars.
