On June 11, 2015 (Thursday) at 12.45, an international video conference on the topic "Context and prospects of settlement of the conflict in the east of Ukraine" will take place.
Teleconference will be held between academics and experts of the three cities: Kiev (Ukraine) - Brussels (Belgium) - Moscow (Russian Federation).
The purpose of the teleconference: to establish stronger links between institutions of civil society of Ukraine, Russia and Europe.
Participants of the conference will present an interpretation of the conflict, developed by experts of the Ukrainian Institute of strategies of global development and adaptation. This expert interpretation goes beyond the well-established ways of understanding, formed in the information space on the basis of official statements and rhetoric of the mass media.
Organizers are hoping that discussion around the Presentation, as well as discussion of necessary steps towards normalization of the situation in Ukraine and Europe will mark the beginning of a long-term dialogue between representatives of intellectual communities of Ukraine, Europe and Russia.
Videoconference will become the continuation of expert discussions, initiated by the Institute in Ukraine with the purpose to reach a consensus on the expert level, which could become a foretype of a broad political compromise.
